How to consolidate gift cards

Situations may arise where you have to combine your gift cards into one balance. Thus, this article explains how to consolidate gift cards.

To consolidate your gift cards, make sure they are the same brand of cards. Visit the related website or physical store to combine the gift cards as one payment method.

In most cases, the gift cards have to be from the same company or issuing store. In this case, if you have different cards, use the existing to purchase the gift cards of the company you want to consolidate your cards.

Can you consolidate multiple gift cards?

1. Using Dash

Dash allows a seller to consolidate gift cards. First, you have to search for the gift card you want to transfer to the next gift card balance.

Do the following to consolidate your Dash gift card:

• Go to the Gift Card Options page and enter the Redemption code of one of the gift cards you want to move the money to the Transfer
• Click Transfer. This action displays the shopping cart and the amount left on the gift card to be transferred to another gift card.
• Click Checkout.
• On the payment screen, your cart balance should total $0.
• You can choose whether you would like to send the receipt to the customer or add an additional note to the invoice.
• Finally, click Process Checkout.

2. eBay allows gift card consolidation

eBay allows you to add multiple gift cards. And as mentioned earlier, these cards must be eBay cards as third-party gift cards will not work.

After applying for your first eBay gift card, type in the next gift card and apply it the same way you apply other gift card purchases.

When you click apply, eBay automatically takes the gift card amount off the balance and permits you to use your next card or coupon.

3. Use Amazon.com

Some websites allow you to sell all kinds of gift cards while they serve as the transaction escrow. Note, however, that it is against the policy of most gift card issuers for you to sell or exchange gift cards. If the issuing company detects this, the gift card may be disabled.

Alternatively, you can sell your gift card to friends and family members, or any person you trust.

The new screen will display a list of nearby gift card retailers. You may also search for shops that will accept your gift card.

Enter your gift card information such as card number and security code. Enter the gift card amount, and you are done.

7. Apple Pay

Apple Pay is another gift card consolidation solution. Some users claim they are able to use up to 8 Apple Store gift cards at Apple online store. You are also allowed to combine your Apple gift card with a credit card if you do not have a sufficient gift card balance.
